- How
much does it cost for Admission? - Currently
(as of Jan, 2010) this is being worked out and information should
be available in the next few months.
- What
about Hotels? Where do we stay? - The Ramada Orlando
Celebration Resort and Convention Center is hosting the event,
which is great, because you can be right at the show your entire
stay. You
can make reservations directly with them through their Guest
Services. Be sure and mention the ROCKITCON Event when calling
them. Each room reservation includes ONE free American Buffet
breakfast at the resort.
- Do
I have to stay at the Resort? - Why would not want
to? You can hang out and enjoy the event, make connections with
old friends and new ones, and take a break at you room at any
time during the 3 days. The Resort is like a small city, on
77 acres. They have everything: 4 heated swimming pools,
4 kids wading pool, 28 VIP Suites, tropical courtyards, 3 lighted
tennis courts, shopping, an arcade, live entertainment, Comedy
Club, Breezes Bar & Cafe, Paradise Cafe, and much more.
They have shuttles to every major theme park in the area, from
Disney to Universal Studios. Once you arrive, you may not want
to leave! Getting a room at the resort
also makes you eligible for prizes and givaways, including the
3 Guitars we are giving away friday, saturday and sunday!.
- What
is Rockitcon ? - The Rockitcon Musicians Conference
will include hundreds of booths / exhibits, including international,
national, as well as local dealers and distributors. Manufacturers
of Guitars, Bass, Drums, Keyboards, Amplifiers, both Electric
and Acoustic, will be present. We will have Custom builders,
Luthiers, new and used parts, Technicians and Reps will be on
hand to answer all of questions. And Much More! Buy-Sell-Trade-Used-New.
There will also be Manufacturer product Introductions and Demonstrations,
Seminar’s on instrument setups, Home recording setups,
and Music Software. Listen to the best local and national bands
at the indoor stage for our Saturday Night concert, and various
Acoustical players around the grounds.
- Can
anyone participate in the show? - Rockitcon
is open to the public, meaning, anyone can attend
the event. You do not have to be a major music company, distributer,
or trade service. Everyone is welcome. With thousands of people
over the entire weekend, we believe this is the perfect opportunity
to allow Musicians to learn about new products, test products,
and make connections in the Music industry. Whether you are
a professional or novice Musician, there is something for everyone.
- What
if I am not a Musician? - If you are in the
Music Industry, as an Engineer, Instrument Repairs and Restorations,
a Recording Tech, a Talent Agent, a Bookings Agent, or in Entertainment,
etc., this is THE event you want to be at. Make some connections
and network! Not quite a Musician yet, but want to be? There
will be manufacturers showing and doing demos of all kinds of
products, allowing you to go hands on. You will see products
you never even knew existed. We will have everything from guitars,
to drum kits, to recording software, to keyboards, and dozens
of unusual things in between for sure. This is a great opportunity
to explore, learn, and get some music tips. Everyone is welcome.
- Can
I bring the whole family? - Absolutely! Small
children should be watched carefully, some of the products displayed
are priceless. Also be aware some areas of the event might be
loud because of the instruments and a thousand people all talking
at the same time, but that aside, everyone can enjoy the event.
We recommend making a weekend out of it. Remember: the Resort
has a free shuttle bus to all the major theme parks in the area,
so while Dad and his buddies may be diggin' the cool amps, Mom
and the Kids can shuttle over to Disney for a few hours. If
you plan a vacation around the event, that's the best way to
do it. Just have fun !
- Will
anyone be selling anything? - Oh yeah! Looking for
a sweet deal? Vendors will be selling all kinds of products:
musical instruments, music gear, music books, technology, educational
and learning, instrument parts, just about anything music related.
These vendors typically are Buy, Sell and Trade. Don't forget
there will be representatives from services, like Booking agents
to Luthiers. You an axe grinder? Imagine having hundreds of
guitars in one room to choose from ! You will be busy!
